Artist Talks: A talk given by a member of the artistic staff, such as the Artistic Director or Choreographer. The artist will usually talk about the performance that is associated with the artist talk. There is usually an opportunity to ask questions about the work.

Jam sessions: An opportunity to improvise alongside other dancers.

Open rehearsal: A rehearsal that members of the public are invited to watch.

Showing: A presentation of a dance performance without production extras such as lighting, costumes etc.  Showings are normally presented in a studio and are relatively informal.  Showings are often used to present “work-in-progress” to stake-holders and friends for feedback.
